Brett Parker begins his first season at the College of Santa Fe as the first soccer coach in the program’s history.
He comes to CSF after spending one season at his alma mater, Ottawa University in Kansas. At Ottawa, Parker was an assistant for both the men’s and women’s soccer teams where he helped double the men’s teams win total from the previous year and helped lead the women’s program to a third-place finish in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) and an appearance in the NAIA Regional Tournament. In his short time at OU, Parker coached three men’s All-Conference and one All-Region player. On the women’s side he coached five All-Conference, one All-Region, and one Honorable Mention All-American including the conference Freshman of the Year.”
Prior to Ottawa, Parker was an assistant women’s coach at Carroll College in Helena, MT. While at Carroll, Coach Parker helped lead the women’s program to a final regular season NAIA ranking of No. 12 and the schools first ever berth into the national tournament with an overall record of 13-6-1. In addition he coached three NAIA All-Americans and four All-Region players.
Parker earned a BA in biology from Ottawa University in May 2006. At OU he was a two-year starter and captain, helping the team capture the schools first ever KCAC Tournament Championship in 2004 while also qualifying for the NAIA Region IV tournament. In 2005 Parker was named the 1st Team All-KCAC, 1st Team All-Region IV, Honorable Mention All-America, and the KCAC Defensive Player of the Year. Prior to attending OU, he was a member of the 2001 NSCAA Junior College National Champions at Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, CA. He holds his NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma and plans on obtaining his National Diploma in the near future.
