Housing - What to Bring

You will need to bring:

• Extra-long twin sheets (apartments have queen-sized beds)
• Mattress pad
• Blankets
• Pillows and pillowcases
• Towels
• Laundry detergent
• Telephone (your phone line will be working when you check in)
• Personal toiletries

Optional Items

• Answering machine
• Alarm clock
• Small refrigerator (1.5 to 3.0 cubic feet. That is small, so be sure to check before you bring it. Larger refrigerators are prohibited.)
• Coffee maker
• Hair dryer
• Stereo
• TV
• DVD player
• Computer
• Desk lamp
• Pens & pencils
• Dictionary
• Thesaurus
• Small fan
• Throw pillows & rugs
• Posters and other decorations

Prohibited Items (so you know ahead of time...)

• Pets (the only exception is fish, in a 5 gallon or smaller tank)
• Large refrigerators (the limit is a 3.0 cubic foot refrigerator)
• Hazards to fire and safety, such as hot plates, space heaters, toaster ovens, toasters, any open coil elements, halogen lamps, incense, candles, etc.

All floors have a microwave in the lounge area (residents are not permitted to have individual microwaves).

Please note that existing items in residence hall rooms may not be removed (for example, mattresses, bed frames, dressers, desks, chairs, wardrobes and curtains provided by the college).
