Presidential Update: July 29, 2009
Dear Students and Members of the College of Santa Fe Community:
I am happy to announce good news pertaining to the future of the College of Santa Fe.
- Tonight (July 29, 2009), the Santa Fe City Council approved the purchase of the campus and the lease of college facilities to Laureate Education Inc. This vote demonstrates a significant accomplishment in the overall effort to save the College. We are all grateful for the support of the Santa Fe community and the council members who voted in favor of the purchase.
- CSF plans on offering both traditional and E&W Program courses for Fall 2009. Registration begins for all former and current students on Thursday, July 30, 2009. Students can register through the College of Santa Fe website: www.csf.edu. If you need assistance registering, please call 505-473-6122 or 505-473-6322. You can also contact your departmental representative for more information about enrolling for the fall semester.
I also wish to thank all of you for your support and patience during this process. Based on your continued belief in CSF and the support of the City, State and Laureate, as well as the CSF faculty and staff, I am confident that the College of Santa Fe will have a strong and vibrant future offering quality education to students and building stronger relations with the citizens of Santa Fe and New Mexico.
