Requirements for Admission

To apply to CSF as a first-year student, you must submit the following:

  1. A completed application. We've made the application process easy and flexible. You can use any one of these methods:
  2. The application fee. A non-refundable fee of $35 must accompany your application. Your check or money order should be made payable to College of Santa Fe.
  3. Your official high school transcripts. Have your high school send an official copy of your transcripts directly to CSF. High school transcripts should reflect a minimum of 16 units of completed or in-progress course work, with four units in English, two in mathematics, two in laboratory science, and two in social studies. An additional two units in foreign language are encouraged. The General Education Development (GED) diploma and test score report are acceptable in lieu of a high school transcript.
  4. Your SAT or ACT scores if you've been out of high school less than two years. You can request that your scores be sent to us by contacting the College Board (if you took the SAT) or ACT, Inc. (if you took the ACT). Our SAT number is 4676. Our ACT number is 2648. If you have been out of high school more than two years, you do not need to submit ACT or SAT scores.
  5. Additional materials. An essay and two recommendation letters are requested of all applicants. For some departments, an audition or portfolio is required.

Interview

We want to get to know you, so all traditional first-time candidates for admission are required to go through an on-campus interview process. If you're unable to come to campus because of distance or time, we will arrange a telephone interview.

Acceptance

Upon acceptance to CSF, you will be asked to:

  1. inform the Admissions Office of your intent to accept the offer of admission;
  2. make a tuition deposit of $200 (non-refundable, applied to tuition charges);
  3. continue to do satisfactory work in progress; and
  4. submit a final high-school transcript of academic work.
